Legend of Krishna Birth & Kansa Vadh

Kansa loved his sister Devaki very much and he married Devaki to Maharaj Vasudev. He was going to leave Devaki to her in-laws. At that time Akashvani says, Only the eighth son of Devaki and Vasudeva will cause Kansas death. Kansa put Devaki and Vasudev in jail and killed their six children one by one. Shortly before the birth of the seventh child, Lord Vishnu, with the help of Goddess Yogamaya, established Devakis womb in the womb of Vasudevjis first wife Rohini and called this son Balarama. After this, God Krishna (Lord Vishnu avatar) is born midnight on Ashtami of Bhadrapada month as the eighth child of Devaki & Vasudeva. That night suddenly all the soldiers fell asleep deeply and the jail doors also opened automatically. Vasudeva took Krishna in a small basket and take him to his friend Nanda in Gokul, by a big river at midnight in the dark.

Now after the eighth child, Akashvani came again and Kansa came to know that the one who killed him has been born. He ordered the killing of all newborns. Many attempts were made to kill the child Krishna but did not succeed. Kansa invites Shri Krishna and Balarama to come to Mathura. When Kansa left the mad elephant behind them, his trunk was cut and killed. After this, they were challenged for the Malla war, one by one, all the nobles of Kansa went to death. Now Shri Krishna said that Kansa Mama has filled the pot of your sin. After this, Shri Krishna separated the head of Kansa from his Sudarshan Chakra.

Legend of Govardhan Parvat And Lord Krishna

There are many stories related to Govardhan. According to Bhagwata and Puranas, it was said that when Devraj Indras anger rained in Brij. As terrible rains and thunderstorms ravaged the land of Vrindavan, submerging it, the frightened and helpless inhabitants approached Lord Krishna for help. Sri Krishna kept the Govardhan mountain on his Kanishta finger (little finger) like an umbrella for seven days and the Brijwasis spent seven days amid the umbrella of Govardhan.
